Description
SECURITY GUARD
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
· An SIA licensed Security Guard for a site in Basildon town centre
· Professional and well presented individual who is punctual and has excellent interpersonal skills
· A strong understanding of detailed report writing
· Someone who can be flexible with hours and shift patterns, immediate starts can be offered
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- From £9.60 per hour

- A minimum of 6 hours guaranteed per assigned shift
Shift Times – between 9 and 13 hours with an opportunity for overtime
Our current rate for Security Guard is from £9.60 per hour depending on the venue you will be working at and the role you will be undertaking. Other rates are available depending on the security role and venue you will be assigned at.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- For you to hold a valid and in date SIA Licence
- Approachable and well presented
- Good verbal communication skills
- A great eye for detail, with high personal standards.
- Punctuality and a desire to succeed.
- An ability to work on own initiative, whilst ensuring your line manager is kept updated on progress.
ABILITY TO COMMUTE
Driving licence and own transport is preferable but not essential for this site
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To report for duty punctually with a neat and tidy appearance
- To know the location of all Fire Exits and Fire Fighting Equipment and their basic use however, In the event of a fire you must call the fire services in the first instance.
- To know the location of the First Aid Equipment
- To carry out your duties as per instructions specific to the site/venue. (it is your responsibility to read and understand individual assignment instructions)
- To record ALL Incidents and Occurrences on the relevant Log sheets/ books. Record all patrols or checks carried out and their findings
- To sign off duty only when finished
- To carry out any other reasonable duties required by VIP Security Manager, Director or Senior Supervisors.
- To deter Anti-Social behaviour (ASB)
- To refuse access to anyone whose presence is not authorised.
- To use tact and diplomacy as the first tool to control any conflict.
- To protect the premises and the property against damage and theft.
- Where applicable ensure communication equipment is in working order and understand how to use it
